Eligible members/employees may apply for up to $500,000 in coverage. Coverage is also available for eligible spouses or life partners up to $250,000, and dependent child(ren) up to $30,000.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for coverage, members/employees must:

• Be under age 70
• Be actively employed at an educational institution where MEA-sponsored plans are available

Important Information

Applications are subject to medical underwriting and group eligibility requirements. Premium rates increase with age. Upon reaching age 70, policy benefits will be reduced in accordance with the terms of the plan.
