The MEA sponsored Group Term Life insurance is a "decreasing" term policy. Age bands are in 5 year increments and your premium will change at 5-year birthdates. The coverage on each schedule begins to decrease at age 55, with a decrease in the year in which the insured turns 55, 60 and the final and last decrease at age 70. Accidental Death and Dismemberment coverage is optional with an additional premium charge of $.04 per thousand dollars and terminates at age 70.
